Belinda Robertson Cashmere
Duff Publicity coordinated PR for the opening of the Edinburgh store in Spring 2004, which also coincided with Belinda’s high profile wedding at Edinburgh Castle. Since October 2004 Duff Publicity have been retained as PR consultants for Belinda Robertson Cashmere.
Bigfish
A restaurant that is only open at weekends, and not even every weekend? That was the challenge with Bigfish, probably Edinburgh’s first ‘occasional’ restaurant. We had to not only getting the message across that the food was fabulous, but that if you want to go you have to book ahead. The campaign worked and the restaurant is always fully booked several weeks ahead.
Catherine Aitken Handbags
Catherine Aitken is an Edinburgh-based film producer who also designs highly individual handbags through her web site. Duff Publicity was asked to do a short PR campaign over a few months from November 2004. Mentions in the Scottish and national media led to an increase in orders.

Fishers
Edinburgh’s best-known fish restaurant asked Duff Publicity to help with a three-month campaign (Oct-Dec 2003) to secure profile and develop some customer promotions in the two restaurants.
The Hallion
The Hallion is Scotland’s first modern style membership club, which opened in January 2004. Duff Publicity was involved so early in the project we even came up with the name. The company was involved in recruiting founder members and promoting the club in national style magazines and Scottish media.
Howies Restaurant Group
One of our first clients, Duff Publicity handled PR for the Howies group of restaurants from July 2002 for a year, looking after press and promotions in the four Edinburgh restaurants as well as the restaurants in Dundee and Aberdeen.
Kirnan Estate
Duff Publicity was hired in Spring 2011 to raise the profile of this guest house and the self catering cottages and the proprietors have seen a distinct rise in bookings.
Klownz Hair Salon
Duff Publicity worked with Edinburgh’s leading hair salon for two years, raising the profile of the owner, Derek Preston, and the business. Duff Publicity helped organise a charity ball to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the business and two evening events in the salon.
Macintyres of Edinburgh
Macintyres of Edinburgh is the city’s leading wholesale jewellery company. Duff Publicity have worked with the owners, Stephen and Gaynor Turner, since February 2004 raising the profile of the company, organising the 10th anniversary celebration and working with their clients to run staff promotions for their companies.
Murray & Murray Kitchens
Murray & Murray kitchens are one of Scotland’s leading bespoke kitchen companies. Duff Publicity handled PR for the launch of the NTS-licenced range which was launched in June 2004. There was extensive coverage in features and home/lifestyle sections of the Scottish media.
Re:boot fitness camps
Duff Publicity was employed to launch the luxury boot camps at the beginning of 2012.
Scottish Gallery
The Scottish Gallery is Edinburgh’s oldest and largest private art gallery. Duff Publicity was appointed in June 2004 to run a three-month campaign for the Festival exhibition, re-branding and general profile raising.
The Shore, Leith
Duff Publicity handled the re-launch of one of the original Edinburgh gastropubs following its takeover by the team behind Fishers restaurants.

Amajuba at Criterion Theatre
Amajuba was at the Criterion Theatre, Piccadilly Circus for a limited run in April 2005. Duff Publicity handled press and PR for this South African show.
Assembly Theatre
Assembly Theatre is the company which runs the Assembly rooms, the foremost venue of the Edinburgh Fringe. Fiona Duff ran the press office from 2003-2005.
Balamory Live
When DC Entertainment decided to do the first stage show of the hit BBC children’s TV show, Balamory, they asked Duff Publicity to do the PR. We were also involved in setting up personal appearances by the cast in the three cities where the show was performed (Aberdeen, Cardiff & Glasgow) as well as several ticket competitions in the press.

Fame at Edinburgh Playhouse with Barbara Dickson & Noel Sullivan
This production of the successful stage musical based on the film was at the Edinburgh Playhouse for 3 weeks in December 2003. Both Barbara Dickson and Noel Sullivan (formerly of Hear’say) received major media coverage up to and over this period.
James Campbell
James Campbell is the world’s only stand-up for children. Duff Publicity has looked after his publicity since 2003 through Fringe seasons, national tours and two West End seasons.
Mamma Mia! at Edinburgh Playhouse
The World’s # 1 show spent 12 weeks at the Edinburgh Playhouse from November 2004. The show opened with a recordbreaking advance at the box office and was virtually sold out throughout the run.
The Steamie
Scottish Tour Autumn 2009. The first major tour of Tony Roper’s comedy for ten years. Duff Publicity was also hired to publicise the 25th anniversary tour in Spring 2012 which sold out throughout the tour and was extended to an extra week at Kings Theatre in Glasgow.
The Vagina Monolgues at The Playhouse with Christine Hamilton, Elaine C Smith & Rosie Kane
Duff Publicity was employed to handle press and publicity for two gala performances of The Vagina Monologues with this high profile cast in August 2003. The show was incredibly successful and almost sold out on both evenings. We were also retained when the show returned to the Edinburgh Playhouse in Spring 2009 with a cast of Gail Porter, Kaye Adams, Karen Dunbar and Michelle McManus.

Edinburgh Wealth Management
Lorn Macneal
Lorn Macneal is one of Edinburgh’s leading architects. Duff Publicity handled publicity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his business and have also been involved in helping to raise profile of a development project at West Thorn in The Grange.
Muckle Hen
Muckle Hen is an independent film production company based in Edinburgh which approached Duff Publicity to arrange some profile raising press coverage in November 2004. The directors, Shona Donaldson and Carol Rutherford, have had extensive coverage in the Scottish press.
Sygnet
Sygnet is a Perthshire-based potato breeding company which employed Duff Publicity to raise the profile of Cabaret, a new type of potato. We created an advertisement using an image of Liza Minelli from the film, Cabaret, which was placed in Fish Fryers Monthly and garnered considerable international coverage for it’s tongue in cheek replacement of the singer’s legs with chips.

Burns An’ A’ That!
Duff Publicity was taken on in 2004 to handle press for Scotland’s newest festival which is based in Ayr. This year they have been recruited again – the highlight of the Festival was a concert at Culzean Castle with Lou Reed as the headline act.
Capital Christmas
This Edinburgh Council sponsored initiative was looked after by Duff Publicity in December 2004 with considerable coverage raised for all the many events over a three week period leading up to Christmas.
Scottish Diaspora Forum
A one day event held at the Scottish Parliament as part of the Homecoming 2009 celebrations.
